Hawks Have Heart

Heineman Middle School students grades 6th – 8th, families and staff are teaming up with Give Love For Life to help raise money for the community. HMS has a history of supporting organizations that focus on community support. Local past recipients include, individuals and families affected by life changing car and motorcycle accidents, cancers, house fires, floods, suicide, and sudden debilitating illness. (**See “OUR WORK” page for more specific details on how GLFL has supported the community this year**) This years Hawks Have Heart Event, “Love your SELFIE” will reinforce and recognize the many unique and beautiful individuals throughout our community. We will affirm that each one of our middle school students is beautiful and worthy of self-respect, self-esteem, and self-love. In addition to to powerful message and raising money for local families, students will have the opportunity to enjoy a fun filled day of activities including giant inflatables, and educational competitions. This year we are excited to announce that staff from Northwestern Medicine will be joining us, along with members of the Algonquin Police Department and Fire Department. Our new student resource officer will also be in attendance to meet and greet.
In order to provide prizes, and refreshments for all of our hard working students and staff, we are currently seeking food and prize donations. PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING ITEMS such as bottled water, gift certificates, small games, incentive prizes, or any other gift certificates to make purchases.
